Dear Tumblr: This symbol

image

Is not a Satanic symbol. It is the inverted cross or the “Cross of St. Peter”.  It is called that because the legend is that when the Romans were crucifying him Peter said that he was unworthy to die the way Christ died and so they hung him upside down. This is a symbol of the saint, humility and sacrifice.

Sorry if that is not edgy.

someone show this to all the Odd Future fanboys plz.

Trans inclusion will be a legislative priority over my dead body.

Elizabeth Birch, Human Rights Campaign Executive Director, 1995-2004

figured now would be a good time to remind everybody exactly who these people are and exactly how much they value trans people

(yes, I realize Birch is no longer with the organization, but this is not because they found her ideas repellant—it’s because she retired)

Hrc, trans inclusion

Public schools increasingly talk a good game about the healthy stuff they’re serving for lunch. But the meals don’t always match the menu, as Zachary Maxwell discovered as a fourth grader. Maxwell sneakily recorded the gross lunches at his school, and from that footage was born his aptly titled documentary, Yuck.
